Following a spirited debate today the Intellectual Property Committee voted 18 to 11 to raise the percentage of practice new applicants for IP Board Certification must demonstrate from 30% to 50%. This change does not effect currently certified lawyers and does not apply to recertification.
Excellent points on the issue were heard from both sides, including Bob Kain and Chris Paradies, who we thank for devoting time and energy to educating us on this important issue.
